In order to save lives, prevent needless sufferings and protect vital infrastructure, all concerned agencies are required to ensure that necessary preventive measures are timely put in place, and SOPs are finalized. Responding to disasters in a timely effective manner can reduce deaths and injuries as well as economic losses. The better coordination among the relevant departments leads to effective decision making and more effective response to crisis management.
Every concerned department/agency can play a vital role in disaster management.
